At Southcross, there is no more important commitment than the safe and reliable operation of our pipelines and facilities.  Safety is essential to preserving our business and operations.  Our most significant responsibility is to do all we can to protect the safety and wellness of our workforce and the communities where we operate.

Contractor Expectations & Responsibilities

Southcross Energy employs a diverse group of contractors that provide specific labor or service functions necessary for operations.  While diverse in nature, all contractors share a common need for effective health, safety and environmental (HSE) programs to protect Southcross Energy employees, contractors and the community from injury, illness, or property damage associated with incidents as a result of contractors’ work.

Our Contractor Expectations & Responsibilities document informs contractors of Southcross Energy’s expectations and responsibilities for worker safety and environmental protection as they relate to the scope of contractors’ work including compliance with applicable industry standards and federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  This document does not serve as a comprehensive guide to all government regulations and does not exempt any contractor from these responsibilities.  Since the functions performed by contractors are diverse, requirements may vary depending on the scope of a particular contractor’s work. It is the responsibility of each contractor to assess the specific job hazards and HSE requirements associated with their operations.
