Southcross is an intrastate midstream natural gas transportation, gathering and processing company with operations in South Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. We own and operate more than 2,500 miles of pipeline, two gas processing plants with a total capacity of 1,310 million cubic feet (MMcf) per day, one fractionator and four gas treating plants with a total capacity of about 145 MMcf per day. Southcross also owns and operates 55 compressors that provide more than 62,000 horsepower of compression. About half of our total transported volume is sold to industrial markets that are connected to our system.

We offer our customers diversified midstream services.
Southcross’ customers include natural gas producers and large industrial and power generation end-users. The services we provide these customers include:
Producers operating on our systems
- Connect their producing wells to our pipeline gathering systems; process and treat their gas so it meets quality requirements for pipeline transportation and commercial use as a fuel; transport their gas to end-users and pipeline interconnects.
- Purchase their gas for resale.
- Transport their gas to utilities, industrial customers and into other pipelines.
Producers operating off our systems
- Purchase their gas for resale.
Large end-users
- Sell gas to them as a delivered commodity.
- Transport gas they have purchased from others.

Most Southcross team members in each geographic operational area have been working with those particular assets for many years. They are experienced colleagues accustomed to operating safely who are focused on putting Southcross customers’ needs first.

We minimize our impact on the environment whether we are maintaining our existing assets or are involved in construction projects.
- Our employees and contractors conduct thorough inspections after a project has been completed to ensure we have disturbed the land as little as possible and to restore the site to its natural state.
- We also are sensitive to maintaining and preserving culturally and historically significant locations. We have worked around or under these sites to preserve their integrity.
