Safety Specialist
- Ensure all operating facilities are in compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop a compliance calendar for all safety related matters and ensure that audits, periodic reports, reviews, and re-certifications are accurate and timely.
- Administer the employee safety program to develop an incident and injury free workplace for all employees.
- Develop and manage safety work processes and systems including policies and procedures, safety meetings, incident reporting and investigations, safety training, and emergency response.
- Provide guidance and expertise in all areas of Process Safety Management for the gas processing facilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting, both internally and externally of reportable incidents, safety statistics, and required OSHA reports.
- Develop an auditing process for safety compliance.
- Serve as administrator of company Operator Qualification Program in conjunction with Veriforce and utilize eWebOQ software for computer based training related to OQ.
- Manage and administer company Anti-Drug/Alcohol Program in conjunction with Wayne Wicks and Associates and report annual statistical data to DOT/PHMSA.
- Track and evaluate the results of company Public Awareness Program in conjunction with Celeritas Works, LLC.
Requirements:
- Minimum Associates Degree, with a strong preference for a B. S. Degree in Industrial Safety, Engineering, or Science.
- Five years experience in Oil and Gas or related industry work, with a focus on employee safety.
- Proven skills in public speaking and written communication
- Highly motivated to encourage, coach, train, and develop team members to succeed.
While reporting to the Dallas Corporate Office, this position will be located in Corpus Christi, TX or Victoria, TX. Responsibilities will include all operating areas in Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama. Competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience.
