Mechanic
Scope and Magnitude
Maintains troubleshoots, and repairs various plant equipment without supervision. Working knowledge of proper alignment and vibration procedures and techniques of vertical and horizontal rotating equipment. Directs work of others in performing plant maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment such as single and multi-stage vertical pumps, compressors, cooling fans.
- Pipefitting and valve repair.
- Will assist Supervisor in the planning, organizing, and distribution of job assignments.
- Maintain maintenance records on all equipment such as records of routine preventative maintenance, record of major repair work, record of availability of all equipment.
- Observes all safety regulations, operating and maintenance procedures and company policies.
- Available for 24 hour call.

- Plant Superintendent
- Safety, Measurement and Engineering Departments.
- Outside vendors.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must have prior experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of natural gas fueled engines and compressors
- Must have working knowledge of the proper alignment procedures and techniques of vertical and horizontal rotating equipment.
- Proficient with hand tools including pneumatic tools
