Corrosion Technician

Job Description:

Operate and maintain corrosion protection systems on company assets.

Job Duties:

• Conduct potential surveys
• Install, operate and maintain cathodic protection currents sources
• Conduct atmospheric corrosion inspections
• Assist in internal corrosion mitigation
• Evaluate data and initiate corrective action to correct deficiencies
• Maintain accurate and complete records
• Assist in pipeline integrity work
• Comply with regulatory agencies
• Comply with company safety procedures
• Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment

Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Computer skills
• Good communication skills, oral and written
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Cathodic protection experience preferred
• NACE CP certification level 1 or Corrosion technician preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of manual task such as lifting heavy objects, climbing, walking through various terrain
• Durable to inclement weather conditions

• Self motivated to be productive
• Thorough
