Ron Barcroft

Ronald (Ron) J. Barcroft’s energy industry career spans 43 years in the United States and Canada. Barcroft has held senior and executive positions in refining, midstream gathering and production, natural gas liquids transportation and fractionation He served as Senior Vice President of Estrella Energy, a founding investor in Southcross, and was a co-founder of Southcross in 2009. He previously served as Southcross’ Senior Vice President, Commercial.

In 2005, Barcroft retired from Duke Energy Field Services, LLC (DEFS), where he was vice president, responsible for the Western Division’s commercial and business development activities. In 1989, he joined Associated Natural Gas, Inc., the predecessor to DEFS, and was named commercial vice president in 1991, a position he held during various mergers and acquisitions that made DEFS the largest U.S. midstream company.

Barcroft held various engineering and management positions in the United States and Canada with Midstates Natural Gas and Valley Energy, both midstream companies, and Shell Canada, Air Liquide Engineering & Construction and Dome Petroleum.

He has served on the board of the Gas Processors Association (GPA), Oklahoma region, and on various GPA regional committees.

Barcroft graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree of applied science in chemical engineering. Prior to leaving Canada, he was a registered engineer in Quebec and Alberta.
