Southcross Energy Names David L. Ishmael Vice President, Engineering and Technical Support

DALLAS, Texas, November 2, 2011 – Southcross Energy today announced that David L. Ishmael has joined the company in the newly created position of Vice President, Engineering and Technical Support. Ishmael has more than 31 years of experience in midstream operations and business development with a proven record of accomplishments and leadership.

“David’s extensive background and expertise in the gas pipeline and processing business make him the perfect fit for the Southcross team. We look forward to him making a valuable contribution to the company as we pursue our growth strategy,” said David Biegler, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Previously, Ishmael was vice president of midstream operations and engineering for AB Resources where he was responsible for plant and pipeline engineering, construction and operations. He also was vice president of engineering for Quicksilver Gas Services where he had similar responsibilities. Ishmael worked for Warren Petroleum and successor companies Dynegy Midstream Services and Targa Resources from 1980-2007 in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. He held various gas supply and midstream management and engineering positions during his tenure at these companies, most recently serving as director, business development and gas supply for Targa.

Ishmael is past chairman, vice chairman and board member of the North Texas Gas Processors Association and past board member of the Texas Pipeline Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
