Southcross Energy Announces Executive Role Changes
DALLAS, Texas, September 19, 2011 – Southcross Energy today announced a promotion and changes in executive responsibilities among its management team effective immediately. Ronald (Ron) J. Barcroft has assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Business Development, and William (Corey) Lothamer has been promoted to Vice President, Gas Marketing and Supply.
“Ron’s extensive background and expertise in acquisitions and business development make him the ideal executive to lead this growth effort for Southcross. Ron will also be focusing on our natural gas liquids business,” said David Biegler, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Corey’s new role encompasses all of our commercial gas activities.”
Previously, Barcroft was Senior Vice President, Commercial for Southcross. His energy industry career spans 41 years in the United States and Canada. Barcroft has held senior and executive positions in refining, midstream gathering and production, natural gas liquids transportation and fractionation, air separation engineering and construction (E&C), and heavy water (nuclear) E&C. Barcroft joined Estrella Energy, a Southcross investor, in 2005 after he retired from Duke Energy Field Services (DEFS) where he was vice president, responsible for the Western Division’s commercial and business development activities. Barcroft also has held various engineering and management positions with Associated Natural Gas, Inc., Midstates Natural Gas, Valley Energy, Shell Canada, Air Liquide Engineering & Construction and Dome Petroleum in the United States and Canada.
Lothamer, who will report to Southcross President Michael Hunter, joined Southcross in 2009 and has held the position of Manager, Gas Supply. Prior to joining Southcross, he held positions in business development with Crosstex Energy where he focused on the company’s assets and gas supply in South Texas.
