Southcross Energy Acquires Natural Gas Pipelines from Tauber Pipeline

DALLAS, Texas, July 5, 2011 – Southcross Energy today announced that the company has acquired approximately 58 miles of natural gas pipelines in South Texas from Tauber Pipeline, LLC, a subsidiary of Tauber Oil Company, Houston. The 6-, 8-, 10- and 12-inch diameter pipelines are the former Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (TGP) 4A and 5A systems that Tauber acquired from TGP following TGP’s receipt of abandonment authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Southcross will integrate the pipelines into the company’s existing gathering and intrastate pipeline systems in South Texas, which will enhance its gas transmissibility.
